Future Plans

With Gestimer 2 the plan is to add a lot of the feature requests that have been requested since Gestimer 1 released. The first step was to modernized and rewrite Gestimer to allow that.

About the developer

I’m Martin Nguyen, an indie developer from Austria currently based in Japan. I’ve been passionate about Apple software since I lived abroad in the US many years ago and experienced the beauty of well-designed software on a Mac. That’s when I knew I wanted to bring my own creation to life someday, and I did just that with my app, “Gestimer.”

The idea for Gestimer came to me before I even knew how to develop software. While studying and focusing on something on my Mac, I would often get distracted by all the responsibilities in my life that would pop into my head. I needed an app that would allow me to quickly set timers and reminders without losing focus or getting distracted.

So, I made Gestimer for myself personally. After using it myself for around a year, I decided to share it with others. I never expected it to do so well, but the app was well-received and did much better than I ever imagined. I’m proud to have created a tool that helps people stay focused and productive in their daily lives.
